'The Change' Student Ministries - What is 'The Change' ?

Ghandi once said, "You must be the change you want to see in the world".

The Change Student Ministries wants to "be that change" in our schools and in our community. We want students to understand that they have a genuine place in God's Kingdom and that they have a role that they play. We invite students to understand what it means to Worship (Reach Up), find a community of believers (Reach In) and to love others through Jesus' eyes (Reach Out). You will find whatever it is you are looking for here at The Change. We invite you to come and take part and find out how you too can "Be the Change."

• Student Leaders will commit to 1 school year and will meet with Life Coach weekly and Student Pastor 1 time per month.
• Students will sign up for each trimester of small groups.
• Once groups are set, you can invite friends from outside of NBC.
• New Families to NBC will have option of waiting for new tri or start immediately.
• Adult Leaders can step in at any time.
• Curriculum will be the BIBLE!!

Reach Up

Shift - A service designed for students that is very relational and an easy invite for friends. It is a night for students to invite friends to gather for creative teaching, powerful worship and meaningful relationships as we reach students from all across the South Tulsa area. Shift meets on Sunday Nights 6:30 - 8:00p.

United - A joint service with Riverview Baptist Church designed to bring students from the two churches together to worship God and be challenged by His Word. United meets periodically throughout the year at Bixby High School.

Reach In

Morph - A place where students can get connected into a small group and challenged in God’s Word as we grow closer to God and closer each other in community. Morph meets on Wednesday Nights.

Outbreak - A time dedicated to learning God’s word and understanding what it means in our lives. Outbreak meets on Sunday Morning 9:30a - 10:45a in the NBC Gym.

Uprising - A night designed for High School students to spend praying for their friends and challenged by the call to “Be the Change” in their schools and in the community. Uprising meets at the Blanchard’s House the first Wednesday of every month from 6:30-8:30p.

Switch - A night for Middle School students to unwind and have some fun as we take a break from our normal small groups and enjoy doing something different! Switch meets the first Wednesday of the month in the auditorium from 6:30-8:00p.

Reach Out

Revolution Trips- This is our serving ministry that includes local and global missions. It is our desire to be a body of students that gives back to their community and participates in the change around them in this community and in the world. We desire for our students to be the change for people so that they may see the Light of the World through us.

Current Partners include: John 3.16 Mission, Bixby Community Outreach Center(BCOC)
